What is recorded here

Castle Hill rises above Lyth, its ancient fort still standing where medieval hands first shaped the stone. The ring wall circles the summit like a broken collar, holding back centuries of wind and forgetting. People may have watched the valley from that ridge, judged weather or danger before running down to safety. The hill does not need explanation; it shows its age in every jagged edge and refuses to disappear.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lyth, Ring of Castle Hill as Fort (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
