Lunnasting

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lunnasting as Ogham Inscribed Stone (early Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1km. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Lunnasting is likely from the early Medieval period, as indicated by its Ogham inscription, a script commonly used in Ireland and western Britain between the 4th and 7th centuries. Such stones often marked territorial boundaries, commemorated individuals, or had a ritual or symbolic function.
