Giuseppe Garibaldi was an Italian general and politician who played a crucial role in the unification of Italy; Louis Kossuth was a Hungarian lawyer, journalist, and Governor-President of the Kingdom of Hungary during the revolution of 1848-1849; William Lloyd Garrison was an American abolitionist and a prominent advocate for the immediate emancipation of all slaves.
