Longridge Methodist Church blue plaque

This blue commemorative plaque records: Longridge Methodist Church 1884 to 1991 This Church opened for worship in October 1884 and seated some 400 people. It replaced the "Old Mount Zion Chapel" in Calfcote Lane built in 1836. Recorded plaque organisation: Longridge Heritage Committee.

Longridge Methodist Church, established in 1884, served as a significant religious and community center for over a century until its closure in 1991, replacing the earlier "Old Mount Zion Chapel" from 1836.
