Longniddry

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Longniddry as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Longniddry Castle was built in the 13th century by the de Longniddry family, a prominent Scottish noble lineage. It is remembered as a strategic stronghold in the Lothian region and for its later association with the powerful Douglas family in the 14th century.
