Detached three-bay single-storey gate lodge, c.1825. Hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles, limestone ashlar chimney stack, and iron rainwater goods on overhanging eaves having scalloped eaves boards. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with cut-limestone sills, cut-limestone shouldered surrounds having keystones, and timber casement windows. Square-headed door opening with cut-limestone block-and-start surround having keystone, and tongue-and-groove timber panelled door. Set back from line of road in grounds shared with Lodgepark House.

A pleasant small-scale house forming a neat self-contained group alongside an attendant gateway (12400925/KK-09-25) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual impression at the entrance to the grounds of the Lodgepark House estate. Having been well maintained the retention of the original composition features together with most of the historic fabric maintains the positive contribution made to the character of the locality.
