Lochinch Castle, Balker is a late 18th Century farmstead in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is not a grand castle at all, but a working home where people farmed, bred animals and kept food through long winters. The name may have come later, dressed up to sound grander than the stones deserved.
