What is recorded here

Loch Na Sreinge hides a possible medieval castle in Argyll and Bute, though no exact date or owner is certain. Water may have swallowed the stones or never touched them at all. The uncertainty itself belongs to the place, a border between memory and invention where the lake keeps what the land stopped recording.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Loch Na Sreinge as Building (period Unknown), Castle (medieval) - (post Medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
