Coed-Porth may be the lost seat of Llangewydd Castle, though no wall or chamber still proves the claim. The name suggests a church and castle shared one valley, perhaps a small stronghold built where prayer and defence belonged together. If so, the land remembers more than it shows, keeping a building alive only in its name.
