Lissnoolaghan is a Clare fairy fort, an earthen ring where human history has thinned into myth. It stands as a rath, a boundary marker between the ordinary world and the strange lives said to continue inside its banks. The earth has kept its shape long enough to suggest that forgetting is not the same as losing.
