What is recorded here

Lisseighter is a faded fairy fort on a Galway slope, its twin banks and central ditch still visible beneath grass and forgotten field rubble. It faces north toward open sky, inviting rain and memory rather than praise. A second ringfort waits south of the first, suggesting the land once belonged to more than one household or one kind of story.

On a N-facing slope in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 40m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse, best preserved from NW to N. From N through E to S, the enclosing elements are obscured by field-clearance rubble. A field bank cuts the monument at N and S. A ringfort (GA018-047----) lies c. 130m to S.
