No human hands built Lissaloughan. The fairies raised that thirty-metre ring on the hillside, and they still walk its broken edge at midnight. The field walls cut through the east and west because people forgot the boundary. Remember it, and the wall retreats. Forgetting is the only danger left in Galway.

On NE-facing slope of a hill in grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 30m) defined by a bank at S, and by a scarp from NW through N to NE. No visible surface trace survives at E and W where field walls cut the monument. A ringfort (GA005-057----) lies c. 220m to SW.
