Lisnagry — Formoyle More

Enclosure

Why this matters

Lisnagry — Formoyle More is a likely early-medieval ringfort, or rath, typical of the agricultural and defensive structures found across Ireland during that period. Local folklore, though sparse, may associate such sites with fairy legends, as many raths were believed to be the homes of the Aos Sí.
