Lismore, Tirefour Castle is an Iron Age broch in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Its ancient walls still stand where human hands first shaped stone, suggesting a community that valued strength, visibility or endurance enough to build there. The sea may have washed around it, storms may have struck it and people may have forgotten it for centuries before remembering again. What is certain is that the place survived long after its makers disappeared.
