What is recorded here

Lismore is a ruined fairy fort on a Galway hillock, its thirty-metre circle now cut by field boundaries and quarrying. It overlooks Lough Hacket, where the water may still remember the shape of the missing bank. What remains is a low ridge of earth, worn smooth by rain and time, holding no wall but keeping the outline of a place once set apart.

On a hillock in low-lying grassland overlooking Lough Hacket to S. Poorly preserved circular rath (D c. 30m) defined by a bank best preserved at N. Quarrying has encroached upon the enclosing element at SW, destroying a berm-like feature which encircles the monument. A field boundary cuts the monument at WSW and ENE.
