Lisaderreen was a fairy fort on an east-facing Cork slope, visible in map lines until machinery levelled the earth around 1975. An underground passage still cuts through the southern half, suggesting the site concealed more than an ordinary farm boundary. The foramen may have marked a threshold where human and fairy worlds touched, waiting for someone brave or foolish enough to enter.
