The Dominican Monastery in Linlithgow was founded in the 13th century and was dedicated to Saint Dominic, associated with healing and spiritual guidance. The site, though no longer in use as a religious well, was historically linked to pilgrimages and may have had associated holy springs or ritual practices common to monastic sites in medieval Scotland.
