Liam Aylward

Mullinavat in County Kilkenny is the birthplace of Liam Aylward, the politician who represented Carlow-Kilkenny from 1977 to 2007 and later served in the European Parliament until 2014. The small town gave him roots while Waterford gave him life, creating a man who moved between local fields and distant Brussels chambers. His brother Bobby later took his seat, continuing the family's political presence in that same region.
