Detached four-bay single-storey thatched house, built c.1800, having recently added gabled porch, lower recessed single-bay single-storey addition to east end and flat-roofed extension to rear. Pitched reed thatch roof with raised scolloped ridge, single low whitewashed rendered chimneystack at east end, and rendered whitewashed copings to gables. Addition to east has pitched corrugated-iron roof. Walls also rendered and whitewashed. Porch has thatched roof, windows in side walls and shamrock painted on gable. Square-headed widened openings with replacement windows. Square-headed timber half-door to porch.
This vernacular house has the typical characteristics of modest size, a thatched roof and relatively small openings. It has been well maintained and brightly painted.
