Leac Dhonn is a coastal rock feature located in the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago, composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in the British Isles, dating back over 2.7 billion years. These rocks formed through high-grade metamorphism of ancient igneous and sedimentary rocks and are notable for their geological significance and resistance to erosion, shaping the rugged coastal landscape of the Western Isles.
