What is recorded here

Lax Hill is a low chalk hill in Rutland, reaching approximately 122 metres above sea level. It is part of the Chalk Hills that form the northern edge of the South Midlands, and its name may derive from an old English word for "loose" or "sandy," referring to its soil composition. The hill matters as a local landmark and as part of the historic landscape of Rutland, offering views across the surrounding low-lying countryside.
