Law's Castle in Adit, North Lanarkshire, is a post Medieval adit, a narrow artificial cut into living rock. It is not a grand chamber or a obvious monument, but a deliberate opening made by human hands. The adit may have entered hillstone to drain water, reach ore or simply test what lay hidden above.
