Lavallylisheen Graveyard occupies the interior of a cashel in County Galway, holding plain stones, crosses and inscribed limestone slabs from the 19th and 20th centuries. A man-made underground passage cuts through the western half, suggesting the site served more purposes than burial alone. The unenclosed irregular shape resists easy description, inviting wonder about how many generations used the same ground for different needs.

This graveyard is defined by an unenclosed irregular area within which a variety of grave-markers are present, including plain set stones, crosses and 19th- and 20th-C inscribed limestone slabs.
