Meltwater rivers carved the valley before humans arrived, yet Ballymisert holds both the youngest flint and the oldest bronze in County Down. People followed salmon upstream during the Late MesOLITHIC, then returned generations later to make bronze for tools and ritual. The land did not need to be discovered; it waited patient as water, saving its shape for hands brave enough to read it.
