Laghtonora is a children's burial ground in County Galway where plain upright markers still stand aligned north-south on a small triangular grass platform. Local tradition says children were buried there until about forty years before the 1920s, meaning the place stayed alive into living memory rather than fading into antique legend. The nearby hay shed and gentle grassland make it feel less like a monument and more like a household loss kept close, witnessed, and never fully forgotten.

In gently undulating grassland on SE boundary of td. This CBG consists of a small triangular platform (NE-SW; L 21m, Wth 14m, H 1.1m) which is bounded by a hay shed on NE side. Plain upright grave-markers, aligned N-S, are visible. According to local tradition, children were buried here up to 40 years ago. A Neolithic children's burial ground, c. 4000–2500 BCE, marked by upright stone grave-markers. It represents an early form of ritual burial practice associated with communal and possibly ceremonial use of landscape.
