Lady Well in County Carlow is a hidden holy site where scrub now strangles the water and forgets the stone. People once gathered there on the last Sunday of June for a patron event, filling the field with prayer and noise before silence returned. The well may have given clean water, healed small fevers or simply marked a boundary between the living and the dead.

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). Linked to a local tradition of healing, the Lady Well at Clonygoose was historically associated with offerings and prayers for health and protection. While no specific saint is named, such wells were often connected to Marian devotion or local folklore involving supernatural aid.
