What is recorded here

Kyle Church fell into ruin in County Carlow, leaving behind rectangular foundations and a graveyard marked by a low stony bank. The exact date of its final closure has been lost, but the stones still outline the shape of worship and mourning. People may have prayed there, buried their dead there, and forgotten the name of the priest who last walked the aisle.
The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 16 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly Foundations of rectangular structure aligned WNW-ESE (ext dims. 9.5m x 15.5m). No features discernible.
