What is recorded here

Knowle Hill Castle is an Iron Age hill fort in Devon, England, sitting ninety metres above the River Caen near Knowle. People may have climbed that steep promontory to watch the water, keep livestock from predators, or simply claim the best view in North Devon. The castle name comes later, but the hill has always demanded attention.
Knowle Hill Castle is shown as a archaeological place on the public map of North Devon. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
