Knocknakilla Burial Gd. is a children's burial ground at the crest of an E-facing slope in County Clare, Ireland. A rectangular grass-covered stoney area defined by scarps, with lines of adjacent stones suggesting it may have been walled, holds the small bodies of forgotten children. The field has been reclaimed for pasture, but the stones still mark where the youngest lived and died before the land was taken back for grass and grazers.
At the crest of an E-facing slope in a field of reclaimed pasture. Listed as 'Burial Ground' in the RMP (1996). A rectangular grass-covered stoney area defined by scarps (dims. at top of scarp 18.3m E-W; 14.5m N-S; dims. at base 19.8m E-W; 16.1m N-S; H 0.2-0.3m) with some stones protruding through it. Lines of adjacent stones at the W end of the N side (L 4m) and the N end of the W side (L 2.2m) suggest that it may have been a walled area.
