Knock of Luce

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Knock of Luce as Chapel (medieval), Well (period Unknown). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Linked to Saint Luce, a 7th-century Irish saint associated with healing and water cures, the Knock of Luce well was traditionally visited for its supposed curative properties, particularly for eye ailments and general infirmities. The site reflects a broader Celtic Christian tradition of holy wells as places of pilgrimage and spiritual healing.
