Kirsenin Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Kirsenin Well as Holy Well (medieval)(possible), Spring (nil Antiquity). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Kirsenin Well is associated with Saint Cursen or Curzen, a 7th-century Irish saint who founded a monastery in Kintore, Aberdeenshire, and is linked to several holy wells in northern Scotland. The well was traditionally visited for healing, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and may have been a site of pilgrimage.
