Kirkbride Chapel is associated with Saint Bride, a 6th-century Irish saint linked to several holy wells and sites in Scotland and Ireland. Traditionally, the chapel and any associated well may have been sites of pilgrimage and healing rituals, particularly for women’s health and fertility.
