Kinnaird Castle is a medieval tower house near Brechin that Clan Carnegie has occupied for more than six hundred years. The castle survived royal visits, Jacobite punishment, architectural transformation and a destructive fire, yet it remains a living family seat rather than a dead monument. Its continuity makes it one of Scotland’s rare places where history is not being preserved but still being lived.
