Kilspindie Castle is a vanished tower in East Lothian, reduced to scattered stones and oval gun loops behind St Mary's Kirk. Douglas ambition took it from Spens, English war broke it once, and greedy neighbours broke it twice by stealing its stones for other walls. What remains is a doorway base and a fragment of wall, yet the bay still surrounds the place like the old tidal ditch.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Kilspindie Castle as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Kilspindie Castle was built in the 16th century by the Spens or Spence family, a prominent Lowland Scottish family with historical ties to the region. The castle is remembered as a significant example of early Renaissance architecture in southern Scotland and reflects the family's influence during the period.
