Dean Castle Gatehouse, West Range stands in Dean Country Park, Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, a surviving fragment of a larger residence now folded into open land. The gatehouse still marks the threshold where a private estate once began, its stones witnessing the transition from enclosed castle ground to public country park.
