Killogrone Burial Ground (Childrens. Disused)

A large number of low, upright slabs occur on a raised area (in the enclosure KE080-046001-), measuring 12m N-S x 15.5m E-W, in the N angle of the internal dividing wall. These probably relate to the use of the site as a ceallúnach (OSNB Caher, 30). Brash recorded that the burial of an unbaptised child took place at Killogrone in 1873 (1879, 240).
