Killeennimhe is a burial ground in County Mayo, Ireland. The name suggests a place set apart for death, perhaps marked by a wall, a ditch or a line of stones now lost beneath grass. People may have carried their dead there through rain, festival and famine, trusting the earth to keep what breath had left.
