Saint Bride (Brigid), a revered early Christian saint associated with fertility, healing, and poetry, is linked to numerous holy wells and chapels across Scotland and Ireland. Traditionally, her wells were visited for blessings, especially for women's health and the fertility of livestock, with rituals often held at dawn on her feast day, 1 February.
