Kilbride Graveyard

Kilbride Graveyard in County Kilkenny holds the faint ruins of St. Brigid’s church, built by Augustinian Canons from Waterford, where thick walls once rose forty-three feet long. Eighteen headstones still mark families like Holden and Martin, while a square baptismal font sits nearby with a hole in its base. A World War One marker honors Sapper J. Dower, who died in 1918, resting beside the Martin family grave. The place remains quiet but inhabited by generations, faith and loss.
