What is recorded here
Kevin Barry was hanged in Dublin at eighteen after refusing a military court, yet his parents came from Carlow and the county still carries his name. The memorial exists because his sister gathered what remained and a committee forced the state to remember a boy it had erased. That is the whole tragedy: a young life ended violently, then rebuilt into public honour through the patience of the people he left behind.
Kevin Barry Memorial is recorded as a memorial in County Carlow. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
