Kents Cavern is a limestone cave formed through millennia of water erosion, typical of the Jurassic limestone geology in the Torquay area. Archaeological excavations have revealed evidence of human occupation dating back to the Palaeolithic period, making it one of the earliest known sites of human habitation in southern England.
