This blue commemorative plaque records: Norris Brothers. Here, on Burrell Road Business Park, world renowned engineers Lew and Ken Norris designed, tested and developed the Bluebird K7 hydroplane for Donald Campbell CBE who bravely gave his life attempting the world water speed record on Coniston Water, 4th January 1967 Recorded plaque organisation: Haywards Heath Town Council.

Kenneth and Lewis Norris were British engineers who designed the Bluebird K7 hydroplane. They are remembered for their significant contributions to speedboat engineering, particularly for their work with Donald Campbell in his attempts to break water speed records.
