Kemp's Castle, Euchan Water is an unassigned earthwork in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, where a ridge of soil may have marked a boundary, a watch post or a forgotten home. The land keeps no date, only shape, yet that shape still interrupts the water and air around it. Whatever it was, it required enough effort to build and enough trust to leave behind.
