This bronze commemorative plaque records: This plaque was erected to commemorate the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister The Rt. Hon. John Prescott MP to Liverpool Airport on Friday 16th March 2001 during the construction of the new terminal.
John Prescott served as Deputy Prime Minister under Tony Blair from 1997 to 2007 and was instrumental in promoting regional development and transport policies in the UK.
