John Bodkin Adams was born in Randalstown, County Antrim, in 1899, the quiet starting point for a life that ended in murder suspicion and prescription fraud. He became an Eastbourne GP whose patients died young enough for him to inherit their money, yet he walked free of the only homicide charge brought against him.
