This marble commemorative plaque records: In respectful memory of Jock Stein who sadly left football forever whilst managing Scotland at Ninian Park on 10th September 1985. Recorded plaque organisation: Cardiff City Football Club.

Jock Stein was a renowned Scottish football manager, best known for his success as the manager of Celtic from 1965 to 1978, leading them to numerous domestic titles and the European Cup in 1967. He is remembered for his tactical acumen and the "Lisbon Lions" team he coached to European glory.
