Served the Jesmond Hebrew Congregation and, from 1973, the United Hebrew Congregation of Newcastle upon Tyne until closure of the building in 1986. Marcus K. Glass was a local architect known for designing Jesmond Synagogue, which served the Jewish community in Newcastle upon Tyne from its opening in 1915 until its closure in 1986.
