Jericho occupies Chirk Castle Park as a Post Medieval causeway and lake, recorded in the national monument list without claiming that anyone may walk it freely. The water likely swallowed a route once proud, leaving only a submerged line where horses or carts cut through marshland. men may have built it to reach the castle grounds before the park took shape, then stepped back as the lake rose or the path fell into disuse.
