Jeremy Swan was born in County Sligo, Ireland, on June 1, 1922. He later became a cardiologist who co-invented the Swan-Ganz catheter with William Ganz at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 1970. Swan died in Los Angeles, California, on February 7, 2005.
