Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Jedburgh, Franciscan Friary as Friary (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The Franciscan Friary in Jedburgh was established in the 13th century and served as an important religious center in the Scottish Borders. Although the friary was dissolved during the Reformation, local tradition associates the site with Saint Anthony, and nearby wells were once used for healing rituals and prayers for protection.
